Medicare is a Government designed single payer system financed using multi-payer programs such as employer, private insurance companies and beneficiary cost sharing.

MEDICARE FOR ALL is a Government run single payer system financed through YOUR taxes and revenues.

So - What Happens to our Current Health Care System?

  • MEDICARE GOES AWAY....

  • MEDICAL ASST (MEDICAID) GOES AWAY...

  • VA BENEFITS GO AWAY

  • EMPLOYER PLANS GO AWAY...

  • THE PRIVATE SECTOR OPTIONS GO AWAY...

  • THEN WHAT???

  • YOUR taxes become substantially higher.

  • YOUR choices DON'T exist.

  • YOUR quality of care becomes much worse with doctors relying on Government reimbursement rates...

Education is powerful - do not stay in the FOG!

What is more important than your health if you’re not being cared for???

1) What is: UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE?

Universal healthcare means EVERYONE in the country is eligible for health insurance whether the country has a single-payer system, socialized medicine, an insurance mandate, or OTHER subsidies.

2) What is: SINGLE PAYER SYSTEM?

A SINGLE PAYER SYSTEM is a government-run insurance plan. The cost of the plan is financed through government revenues and taxes.

3) What is: Medicare?

MEDICARE is a government designed and run insurance plan like a single payer system, the current Medicare program is different because it's financed using a multi-payer program such as employer benefits, private sector insurance and beneficiary cost-sharing.

People are being misled to believe that "Medicare For All" means Medicare for Everyone.

WHAT DOES "Medicare for All" mean for everyone?

  • It does NOT mean everyone will go onto our current Medicare program.

  • The Government would eliminate the existing Medicare system and ALL other health insurance plan choices for Americans

    • i.e. Medicaid, VA Benefits, Employer PLANS and private insurance options.

  • "Medicare For All" would REPLACE our current Medicare program as a TRUE single payer system managed and run by the Government.

WHY DO THEY REFER TO THE NEW PROGRAM AS: "MEDICARE FOR ALL"?

  • 1) Medicare is an extremely popular Government run program. It offers a reference that shows that the Government CAN be successful administering a health care program by associating Medicare with "Medicare For All"

  • 2) One of the most popular features of Medicare is CHOICE, just the thing they would eliminate with the new program. Currently seniors have the CHOICE to pick a Medicare Supplement plan (Medigap) or Medicare Advantage PPO and HMO plans (Medicare Part C) offered by PRIVATE Insurance Companies.

    • Since 2010 the number of Medicare Advantage plans has doubled to more than 20 million beneficiaries. That's more than one-third of the total Medicare enrollees.

  • 3) AMERICANS WILL lose their FREEDOM OF CHOICE without the ability to choose another option since the program would be solely administered and controlled by the Government.
